For years two of the brightest morning stars on WBBM-Channel 2 were news anchor Erin Kennedy and meteorologist Megan Glaros. But in 2020 their careers were cut short when the two were among more than a dozen staffers ousted in sweeping layoffs at the CBS-owned station.
From 2013 to 2016, Ellis was lead meteorologist at WISH-TV. Since then he's worked as a chief meteorologist in Columbia, S.C. and as a freelance meteorologist with stops at WRTV-TV, Indianapolis' RTV-6, before his current role in Chicago.
Morgan Kolkmeyer joined the WGN Weather Center as a meteorologist in May of 2017 and currently serves as weather anchor for the WGN Early Morning News.
Weijia Jiang (Chinese: 姜伟嘉; pinyin: Jiāng Wěijiā; born June 6, 1983) is a Chinese-American television journalist and reporter. She is based in Washington, D.C., and has served as the Senior White House Correspondent for CBS News since July 2018.
Meteorologist Mary Kay Kleist has been a fixture on CBS News Chicago since 2002. Since joining the station, Kleist became a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (2007), which is the industry's highest distinction.
In August 2019, Bouley's lifelong dream of becoming a broadcast meteorologist was fulfilled when she was promoted to Morning Meteorologist at the station. Currently, she broadcasts weather reports on Local 22 News at 5 & 6 AM and The Local 44 Morning Brew, from 7-9 AM on weekdays.
