Does easyCBM have an answer key? ›

The benchmark answer keys can be found by logging in to your account and clicking on the Measures tab, then the Benchmark tab.

If the graphs are not immediately visible, scroll down the page. Below the graph is the student's score and a link to view the student's actual graded test. To interpret student performance on the easyCBM measures, one compares a student's raw score on a given measure to the percentile rank associated with that score.

The easyCBM system is designed for benchmark assessments to be given at a students' actual grade level (progress monitoring measures can be used off grade level) for grades K-8th grade.

The assessments on the easyCBM system are standardized curriculum-base measures that sample from a year's worth of curriculum to assess the degree to which students have mastered the skills and knowledge deemed critical at each grade level.

easyCBM is a Universal Screener and Progress Monitoring Tool.

All Proficient Math ("CCSS Math) measures (both BM and PM) include items from across the full range of content standards designated for a given grade level. The BM measures also include some prior and subsequent grade-level items to increase their reliability when used as benchmark universal screening assessments.

The Proficient Reading measures are most appropriate for use as screening assessments. The Basic Reading measures are 25-item tests focusing primarily on literal comprehension and covering key reading skills of informational text, short literary text, and texts that require students to read to perform a task.

The norms established for easyCBM should be applicable to students in your school, yes, as the norm group is nationally representative, by design.

What type of assessment is easyCBM? ›

easyCBM provides Universal Screening/Benchmark assessments for all students. Reading measures are based on the “Big Five” constructs from the National Reading Panel, and easyCBM includes additional easily accessible Reading measures.

CBMreading is a particular version of Curriculum-Based Measurement (CBM) of oral reading fluency, originally developed by Deno and colleagues to index the rate and level of reading achievement (Deno, 1985; Shinn, 1989). It is an evidence-based assessment used for screening and progress monitoring in grades 1-8.

easyCBM is a computer-based formative and interim assessment system designed to provide immediate information on students' performance and progress.

The easyCBM Lite edition, is free and limited to progress monitoring measures, under the assumption that teachers will have access to some other form of screening information that will enable them to identify students most in need of progress monitoring.

easyCBM assessments are built on a scale of progressive difficulty, with each grade level becoming more challenging and each measure type (for example, WRF versus PRF) within a grade level stepping up in difficulty.

After students have taken the CBM, I grade them by using the last scoring method. They are graded according to the problems they get correct. If the problem was solved correctly, I place a checkmark in the box. After all problems have been assessed, I add up all the checkmarks and place that number on the top.
